Salman Khan & Nayanthara’s Untitled Action Film Set for Eid 2027 Release
Superstar Salman Khan has confirmed that his upcoming action film with director Vamshi Paidipally will hit theaters on Eid 2027. The untitled project, produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, stars Tamil superstar Nayanthara as the female lead and began shooting in Mumbai earlier this week.
Salman shared the announcement with fans via a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, writing, “Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, That’s why announced Eid….. Don’t worry iss wali ka bhi bataenge, when the time is right… Patience, thoda sa sabar… Mere Jitna he intezar karna padega, Baherhaal jo apka haal hai wo hi mera bhi haal hai…. haha (You need to think a bit ahead—that’s why Eid was announced. Don’t worry, we’ll reveal the other one too when the time is right. Have some patience, just a little. You’ll have to wait as much as I am. Honestly, whatever you’re feeling right now, I’m feeling the same… haha).”
This marks yet another Eid release for Salman, continuing his tradition of blockbuster launches including hits like Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016), Kick (2014), and Bharat (2019).
The film is co-produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore, with Rafi Kazi as co-producer. The project is being positioned as a large-scale theatrical entertainer bringing together two of Indian cinema’s biggest names.
Director Vamshi Paidipally is known for hits like Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi, and Varisu, while Nayanthara, one of South cinema’s biggest stars, made her Bollywood debut in the 2023 blockbuster Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, which grossed over Rs.1,000 crore globally. Her South Indian hits include Chandramukhi, Ghajini, Billa, Raja Rani, and Viswasam.
Salman Khan will also be seen in Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, a film based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China.
Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on this high-octane action spectacle, which promises to be one of the biggest Eid releases of 2027.
