COVID-19: India logs 1,997 new cases, active caseload further dips to 30,362
New Delhi: India recorded 1,997 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 30,362 as per the Health Ministry data on Friday.
As many as 6 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,754.
A total of 3,908 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,40,47,344.
The active cases comprise 0.07 per cent of the total infections, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75 per cent.
According to the bulletin, 89.64 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 2,13,123 tests have been conducted.
"India has administered 218.88 crore doses (94.89 crore second dose and 21.50 crore precaution dose) of Covid-19 vaccine, so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," Ministry data said. (UNI)
