Motorola developing smartphone with 200MP camera
Berlin: After launching its flagship smartphone Motorola Edge+ in early 2020, Lenovo owned Motorola is said to be working on another flagship phone.
According to a report published by the German website TechnikNews, the device is being developed internally under the codename 'Frontier' and will be powered by the successor to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM. The device is expected to sport a 6.67" FullHD+ curved POLED panel, with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The smartphone will be fitted with a triple camera setup - a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto camera.
Samsung's new HP1 (S5KHP1) sensor and S5KJN1SQ03 sensor will reportedly be used as the primary and ultra-wide camera respectively. Sony's IMX663 sensor will be used as the telephoto camera. While on the front a 60MP sensor will be used for selfies.
The report did not mention anything about the battery apart from the fact that the device would support 125W fast charging via USB-C and 50W wireless charging.
The device will not be available anytime soon as the processor is yet to be launched. (UNI)
