Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G India Launch Nears: Here’s Everything We Know So Far
Xiaomi is gearing up to bring its new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G smartphone to India. The company has teased the phone's arrival on social media platform X, although it has not yet revealed the exact launch date.
A dedicated landing page for the smartphone is also now live on Xiaomi's India website, suggesting that the launch could be around the corner.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G was launched in select global markets in August. The Indian version is expected to share several key specifications with the global model, although Xiaomi is yet to officially confirm the India-specific details.
6.83-Inch AMOLED Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate
The global variant features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen is claimed to offer peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and is available with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
On the software front, the global model runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
50MP Main Camera With OIS
For photography, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G comes with a 50MP primary camera featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The camera setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second, according to the global specifications.

Massive 10,000mAh Battery
One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is its massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The battery supports 100W wired fast charging, which could make the device particularly appealing to users looking for long battery life.
The smartphone also carries IP66 and IP68 ratings, offering protection against dust and water under specified conditions.
For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC, among other features.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Expected Price in India
In Japan, the 8GB + 256GB variant of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is priced at JPY 79,980, which is approximately Rs 47,900.
The 8GB + 512GB variant costs JPY 99,980, or around Rs 59,900.
The global model is available in Black, Cloudbrush and Purple colour options.
