Delhi Police SWAT Commando Murdered by Husband Using Dumbbell
A 27-year-old SWAT commando of the Delhi Police died after allegedly being brutally assaulted by her husband, who struck her on the head with a heavy dumbbell following a domestic dispute.
The victim, Kajal Chaudhary, was attacked by her husband Ankur, a clerk with the Ministry of Defence, on January 22 after frequent arguments over financial issues escalated. She sustained critical head injuries and was admitted to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

According to Chaudhary’s brother Nikhil, a constable posted at the Parliament Street police station, she had called him on the day of the assault. He said that while he was speaking to his sister on the phone, Ankur allegedly began hitting her with the dumbbell. Moments later, Ankur reportedly informed him over the same call that he had attacked her.
The family has also alleged that Chaudhary was subjected to persistent dowry harassment by her mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Police have registered a murder case against Ankur. He has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

Chaudhary joined the Delhi Police in 2022 and was serving with the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit at the time of her death. She married Ankur in 2023. The couple has a one-and-a-half-year-old son, according to the report.
