A fresh controversy has emerged in the Ketan Agarwal murder case after a video of the main accused, Siya Goyal, surfaced online. The footage shows her making an obscene gesture toward media personnel while leaving her residence during a police investigation.
Investigators had escorted Siya to her home in Pune's Market Yard area as part of the ongoing probe. During the visit, police reportedly recovered clothing believed to have been worn by her on the day Ketan Agarwal was killed.
Video Sparks Public Reaction
As Siya was being taken out of the house after the search, she noticed media cameras gathered outside. She then appeared to raise her middle finger toward the journalists, a gesture that has drawn widespread attention on social media.

Police Recreate Sequence of Events
Earlier in the investigation, officers also took Siya to Lohagad Fort, where they recreated the alleged sequence of events surrounding the incident. According to investigators, the exercise was aimed at understanding how the crime may have been carried out. Police believe Siya and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, had planned the act in advance.
Polygraph Test Sought
Pune Rural Police have approached the court seeking permission to conduct polygraph examinations on both Siya and Chetan to assist with the investigation.
Background of the Case
Siya Goyal, 20, and Ketan Agarwal, 25, got engaged earlier this year and were reportedly set to marry in November. Investigators allege that Siya was in a relationship with 22-year-old Chetan Chaudhary and no longer wished to go ahead with the marriage.
Police claim that on June 18, Ketan was taken to Lohagad Fort, where he was allegedly pushed into a gorge. Following the investigation, both Siya and Chetan were arrested and have been remanded to police custody as the probe continues.
