Ram Temple Trust to Get First CEO
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set to select its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Wednesday from a likely shortlist of three candidates, sources said on Tuesday.
The decision will be taken during a meeting that may also finalise two members of the temple trusts panel and appoint a new general secretary, following a review of 5,585 applications, the sources said.
The meeting comes amid controversy over the alleged theft of offerings and the resignation of Champat Rai, the former general secretary of the temple trust. It will be held at the residence of Nritya Gopal Das, president of the Ram Mandir Trust, in Maniramdas Chhawani.
The selection committee is expected to place three shortlisted names before the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for consideration of the temple trusts first CEO, the sources said.
