Students More Important Than Any Post: Amit Shah After Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the BJP places the nation, its youth, and students above any political position, following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET paper leak controversy.
Pradhan stepped down after facing growing pressure over the handling of the alleged examination paper leak, which triggered widespread protests and demands for accountability.
In a post on X, Shah said the Modi government respects the aspirations of students and remains committed to taking strong action against examination irregularities.

He emphasized that no political office is more important than the interests of students.
"For the BJP, the nation, our youth and students hold far greater importance than any position," he said.
Shah also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's response to the controversy, stating that the government's decisions would strengthen transparency and accountability in the country's examination system.
"The decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure strict punishment for those guilty of paper leaks are commendable. I am fully confident that these steps will ensure complete justice for the students who succeeded in the NEET examination," he added.
Highlighting Dharmendra Pradhan's tenure as Education Minister, Shah credited him with driving several key reforms in the education sector. These include the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), expanding examinations in regional and mother tongues, strengthening PM SHRI Schools, promoting digital education and skill development, and improving collaboration between academia and industry.

He also praised Pradhan's efforts to make the examination system more inclusive and student-centric.
