Tumbaad 2’ is being shot in real monsoon, ditching artificial rain
The team behind “Tumbbad 2” is reportedly returning to the elements that gave the original film its distinctive identity, choosing to shoot in real monsoon conditions rather than relying on artificial rain effects.
According to sources, the film team is looking for locations with heavy rainfall in various parts of Maharashtra to shoot in real monsoon instead of artificial rain, so that the authenticity and mysterious atmosphere of the first film can be recreated.
According to sources, “Tumbaad” was known for its mysterious world, constant rain, and eerie atmosphere. To capture this atmosphere, the first film was shot across four different monsoon seasons. Now, the makers of “Tumbaad 2” are making special efforts to maintain that authenticity.
Due to the erratic monsoon, the production team is reportedly constantly monitoring the weather and adjusting their shooting schedules to suit areas with higher rainfall. Instead of using extensive artificial rain, the team decided to shoot in real rain, creating a more natural and impactful atmosphere for the film.
According to sources, the film’s team is scouting locations in remote areas of Maharashtra that are experiencing heavy rainfall. Many locations are difficult to reach, and the cast and technical crew are having to trek long distances to reach the sets.
Sources close to the film say that rain has always played a significant role in the world of “Tumbaad,” and the producers want to portray it with complete authenticity this time around. To this end, shooting schedules are being planned based on weather forecasts.
