Tesla Launches North India’s First In-Mall Charging Station at Delhi. Deets Inside

Tesla experience centre in Bengaluru
Tesla on Monday opened its first in-mall destination charging station in North India at Nexus Select Citywalk, New Delhi, marking a significant expansion of its charging infrastructure in the country.

The facility is located in the mall’s P1 parking area and is equipped with six 11kW AC destination chargers, enabling Tesla owners to charge their vehicles conveniently while shopping, dining, or spending time at the mall.

Seamless Charging Experience

According to Tesla, the new station is designed to deliver a smooth “Plug In, Charge and Go” experience, with an impressive 99.95% uptime, ensuring high reliability for users.

Pop-Up Experience Centre Launched

Alongside the charging facility, Tesla has also opened a temporary pop-up store at the ground floor of Nexus Select Citywalk.

The experience centre will remain open from July 6 to July 10, between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM, offering visitors a chance to explore Tesla’s latest electric vehicles.

Models on Display

Visitors can experience guided walkthroughs, interactive showcases, and test drives of Tesla’s latest offerings, including:

Tesla Model Y L

  • All-wheel-drive electric SUV
  • Three-row, six-seat configuration
  • WLTP range: up to 681 km
  • 0–100 km/h in 5.0 seconds
  • Price starts at Rs.61.99 lakh
  • EMI options from Rs.49,990, with Rs.6.5 lakh down payment

2026 Tesla Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive

  • Seating for up to five passengers
  • Cargo capacity: up to 2,138 litres
  • WLTP range: up to 500 km
  • 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds
  • Price starts at Rs.50.89 lakh
  • EMI options from Rs.39,990, with Rs.6.5 lakh down payment

Global Safety Ratings

Tesla stated that both models have received top safety ratings from major global agencies, including:
  • NHTSA (USA)
  • IIHS (USA)
  • Euro NCAP (Europe)
  • ANCAP (Australia & New Zealand)
  • C-IASI (China)

India Presence and Charging Network

Both models are available for order via its official website, and home charging support is available across all Indian states.

The company currently operates experience centres in major cities, including:
  • New Delhi (Aerocity)
  • Gurugram
  • Hyderabad
  • Bengaluru
  • Mumbai (BKC)

Charging Network Expansion

With the launch at Nexus Select Citywalk, Tesla now operates six charging stations across India, comprising:
  • 20 Superchargers
  • 20 Destination Chargers
The company said the expansion is part of its effort to strengthen EV adoption and charging accessibility across key Indian cities.
