NSE Prepares Rs.30,000 Crore IPO: Will It Break Records Set by LIC and Hyundai?
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is gearing up to launch what could become India’s largest-ever initial public offering (IPO), with plans to raise around R.30,000 crore. The exchange has filed draft documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for approval.
The proposed issue will be entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS), meaning that existing shareholders will be selling their stakes rather than the company raising fresh capital.
DRHP Filed With SEBI
According to media reports, NSE has already submitted its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP). The exchange’s listed companies collectively command a market capitalisation of approximately Rs.438.9 lakh crore, higher than that of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
