Mahaprabhu Jagannath Gets New Release Date Ahead of Rath Yatra
The upcoming animated feature 'Mahaprabhu Jagannath' is all set to arrive in cinemas across India on July 17, with the makers officially announcing the new release date. Timed to coincide with the festive spirit following the revered Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 16, the film aims to bring a spiritually enriching cinematic experience to audiences of all ages.
The announcement comes amid growing excitement surrounding the film, whose recently unveiled trailer generated an enthusiastic response. Premiered before an audience of more than 10,000 people, the trailer received widespread appreciation, with viewers praising its emotional storytelling, vibrant visuals, and celebration of Indian heritage.
Designed as a family-friendly animated drama, Mahaprabhu Jagannath explores themes of faith, devotion, culture, and tradition through visually engaging animation. The project is produced by Durga Prasad Dalai under the banner of Elle Animations Pvt. Ltd., building on the success of the widely watched animated television series 'Jai Jagannath', which attracted millions of viewers during its broadcast.
To ensure a wide theatrical reach, the filmmakers have partnered with Cinépolis India for the film's distribution. The animated feature will be released in Hindi, Odia, and Telugu across more than 300 screens nationwide.
Directed by Shripad Warkhedkar, the film features a screenplay and dialogues by Pallavi Sharma, crafted to resonate with both children and adults. The musical score by Aviral Kumar further enhances the film's devotional and emotional appeal.

Founded in Bhubaneswar, Elle Animations Pvt. Ltd. has been producing animation content for global audiences since 2008. Along with its India release, Mahaprabhu Jagannath is also scheduled to be released in select international markets, allowing audiences worldwide to experience the timeless story inspired by Lord Jagannath.
