Mexico earthquake claims 139 lives

Washington: Administration has extended a helping hand to its neighbouring country which has been affected by yesterday's 7.1-magnitude earthquake. In a press statement here yesterday, State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert said: We offer our condolences to any who were injured or lost loved ones." "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Mexico affected by today’s 7.1-magnitude and other recent natural disasters," the official added in the statement. As per initial reports, 139 casualities has been reported.
 

The official said, " We stand ready to provide assistance should our neighbours request our help." In the meanwhile, the in Mexico City has sent out public messages to the US citizens in Mexico, and the embassy was ready to provide consular assistance to any US citizens who may have been affected.
